Meet Cherie. She's a writer and photographer who was 1 year away from graduating as a midwife when the pressures of separation, divorce, raising 4 young boys and losing the family home took their toll resulting in her giving up her studies in 2014.
On the 25th of November, Cherie flew to the USA to begin a solo roadtrip called #CheriedoesAmerica. She'll be driving from LA to NYC in 40 days, meeting and having a coffee with each and everyone one of her on-line girlfriends along the way, all of whom she met 10 years ago in an on-line mother's group but has never met in real life.
CheriedoesAmerica is a fundraising trip supporting the Hamlin College of Midwives in Ethiopia. If Cherie can't be a midwife, she wants to make sure she can help raise enough money to support a Student Midwife in Ethiopia.
CheriedoesAmerica is also a celebration of women supporting and being with women through friendship and through midwifery.
